Midsummer Bloom

I just received this photo that the beautiful Natalie Lynn has taken for her Wedding business. It reminds me of the Swedish midsummer and I have decided to throw a midsummer party when it starts getting a little warmer. Maybe we could be in a park somewhere around Brisbane. Anyways, I'm now making a cup of tea and crashing down on the couch :)

My Wish List

This is my little 'wish list' for the rest of 2011. I've started making cushions with my own prints on them so I need to find a cheap sewing machine to finish it all, I'm pretty excited actually.. will post a picture when they're done. I'm also in need of a great camera for my studio set of lights, this time I'm thinking a Canon 5D (not the cheapest) but extremely good :) Well, I guess I need a piggy-bank first of all...

Rainbow Beach

I had an amazing weekend up the coast with my baby. We drove up to Rainbow Beach and stayed over night. It is the best feeling to wake up to the sunrise with the whole beach to yourself. I feel very inspired at the moment, it's funny how one weekend can make you so relaxed and ready to start new little projects. I've got one coming but I'll post more about it as soon as my prints has arrived. 

It's only getting better

 

 As soon as the weekend approached I started to feel so much better and I mean literally better as my throat has finally stopped hurting. I wont be going crazy on my days off but I'm really looking forward to a night with friends, wine and board games. I also decided to make dessert for the dinner on Saturday night so I will try to be a little creative in the kitchen, it's leaning towards white chocolate mousse or panna cotta... decisions, decisions.

Queens Birthday

This weekend I have had time for so much; Such as driving all the way to Gympie and back, buying a car, pimping my car, a 30th birthday party, long sleep-in's and being served breakfast by my amazing boyfriend, a day at the footy with friends (surprisingly I had a really good time and I don't even like football), dinner at the Casino, one scary movie on the couch and one funny movie at the cinemas. That summarizes my three days off. Tomorrow - back to work.   

Winter

 

Yesterday was the first day of winter and I could definitely feel the cold coming. I'm Swedish so I should be used to the colder weather but I've been trying to avoid the last couple of winters up north so I have to admit that I'm not prepared for the colder mornings. I will be rugged up in cardigans and uggs until it starts to heat up again, but I actually like getting dressed with scarfs and other warmer accessories. This set up is made on Polyvore which is a great website for shopping and inspiration. They even have templates so you can make up your own outfits. Sunday lovin

I had such wonderful and relaxing weekend. I slept in for hours on Sunday and me and my partner went out for breakky in New Farm where we also had a walk around in furniture & art shops. I love looking at furniture and dreaming about how to decorate our future house. Later on I met up with a friend in Southbank for an amazing chocolate pizza at Max Brenner. I highly recommend the waffles as well but the line up was huge so try to avoid it on weekends.

Things that makes me smile

I love photographing people I know and what's important to them, so when I had the opportunity to spend a day with my cousin and her horse I got some shots that I'm really happy with. More photos will be coming up shortly but until then I'm posting this one.

Baby Shower

 

I was invited to a baby shower on the weekend so I went in to the city for a desperate try to find something good for a little baby boy. I'm usually not a huge fan of baby showers but it's a good reason to go shopping for something cute and tiny. I went in to Queens Plaza and the Peter Alexander shop where I found this adorable little jump suit. I think the mother to be liked it and I definitely got my doze of cakes, lollies and babies for this week.
